Rowan Class - Year 5
Welcome to Rowan Class!
As we reach the end of Term 5, we have had a fantastic time learning about the legend of Robin Hood! Next term, we will be moving onto the 'myths' section of our topic where we will be learning all about the Ancient Greeks and how their gods influenced their lives.
Here's what we have been doing...
Learning of the Week
We are continuing to explore shape and geometry, looking at angles and how to measure them
We are writing a version of the Robin Hood legend 'The Golden Arrow', but have been inspired by Roald Dahl's 'Revolting Rhymes' - expect to see some interesting twists and creative developments in our versions!
Last week, we went on a walk around the local North Bradley fields to see if we could find a new location for Robin Hood and his Merry Men to set up camp! We had a great time exploring and found several places that we thought had good geographical features that would suit him.
