Sycamore Class - Year 6
Welcome to Sycamore Class
We are a class of 27, Year 6 children.
This is us!
Autumn Term Learning
Our learning context for the next two terms is entitled ‘Torture, Treason and Triumph.’ We will be taking a journey through British history to discover how crime and punishment has changed throughout the ages. Beginning in Medieval Britain and travelling right through to the present day, we will discover how changes in society create changes in the kind of crimes that are committed, as well as the ways in which they are punished.
Our whole class reading text will be 'Holes' written by Louis Sachar. This book looks at the themes of justice and judgement, when Stanley Yelnats is convicted of a crime that he didn't commit.
