  • Conquerors Class - Art Work

    Mon 01 Feb 2021

Children have had fun creating paper mache relief art in Year 4. The technique involved making home made glue from flour and water and getting really messy! Step one involved creating a paper mache base which showed parts of a pencil sketch that we did last week raised so that it looks 3D and like it is coming out of the picture. Once the paper mache base was dry, we then had to add colour, by painting, colouring or collaging the picture. Pupils have has fun with this project and have done a marvellous job. Here are some pics of children doing their art and some finished examples:

  • Trowbridge Museum visit Explorers Class

    Fri 14 Feb 2020

On Wednesday Explorers enjoyed exploring the past with the help of visitors from Trowbridge Museum.  They brought with them artefacts and costumes to help the children understand what it might have been like to live in North Bradley in Victorian times.  They learnt about the differences between rich and poor children and what it might be like to work in a weaving mill, as well as going on a Victorian holiday.  Thank you very much to Mr Birks and Mr Lucas who shared their great knowledge with us.
