The Friends of North Bradley School

Who are we?

The Friends of North Bradley School are a registered, independent charity.  Known as ‘The Friends’ we are a passionate group of parents who work together to raise funds for North Bradley Primary School to enhance the pupil’s education and learning experiences.

With support from staff and supports of The Friends we plan and organise a wide variety of fundraising events throughout the year.

What are we fundraising for?

We have raised funds for some new outdoor picnic benches and the children are really enjoying them.  These benches have provided a social and educational purpose for the pupils to learn new games, practice numbers and socialise together.

We have also raised funds for some large percussion instruments for the pupils to play and enjoy together.  Music is a fantastic way to help pupils to increase their cognitive ability, develop their memory, be creative, make friends and feel proud.

Our Fundraising Events

We provide a variety of fundraising events through out the year, these include school disco’s, raffles, second hand school uniform shop, Rags2Riches clothing recycling initiative and our Annual Scarecrow Trail

These events go alongside our regular donut end of term treat sales and our online, our clothes/textiles recycling bin (located in the school car park) and through online purchases via Amazon Smile.

How we keep you updated

We use a variety of sources to keep everyone updated with any news, activities or fundraisers that The Friends would like to share with you.  These are via:-

Updates via the School Office – We do NOT hold any personal contact details, all messages sent via ParentPay, always go via the School Administrators.

Facebook – This is an optional source of contact, if you are on Facebook please feel free to join our group.  This is a closed page, and its contents can only be seen by its members, all members are approved as “known to us” prior to acceptance.

Noticeboard/Posters – The Friends have an outside noticeboard which can be found on the main school playground. This is used to communicate upcoming events and activities.

Book bags – We try, wherever possible, to avoid paperwork in book bags to help keep the paper usage to a minimum but occasionally we will use this as a means to contact you.

Newsletters – The Friends issue a Newsletter with details of all upcoming events, results of recent fundraisers and dates for your diary.

Volunteers and Help

New members, volunteers and fundraising ideas are always most welcome. There is no obligation to commit, just whatever time you can happily spare will be much appreciated.
