  • Safer Internet Day

    Fri 12 Feb 2021

National Safer Internet Day was on Tuesday 9th February, during the day all classes spent time learning how to use the internet safely.  Creators Class spent the whole day looking at how to be safe online. They did lots of exciting things and particularly enjoyed the BBC live lesson. They shared lots of ideas and eventually made a poster to showcase all the things that they found out throughout the day.  Here’s a picture of one of the fantastic posters create, several others can be found on the latest news page on our school website.

  • Conquerors Class Learn to Express Themelves

    Wed 10 Feb 2021

This week Conquerors class have been working on ways to express themselves. They have all
drawn squiggle picture art to express how they feel and created origami animals, because being
creative is an ingredient to having good mental health. As well as this, we have been listening to
and appraising the song 'Lean on me' by Bill Withers. The children have all started to learn the
lyrics and understand that we have lots of people around us, including our class mates that we
can lean on if we need any cheering up or support.

  • Craft Making in Creators Class

    Wed 10 Feb 2021
Creators Class have been learning all about writing instructions this week, playing lots of different
games where they have to use commands or give clear instructions. As part of their learning, the
children had a choice of different instructions to read and followed these instructions to create lots
    of different crafts.
  • National Children's Mental Health Week

    Thu 04 Feb 2021

It was so lovely to see staff and pupils both online and in school in their wonderful rainbow colours on Wednesday to participate in the National Children’s Mental Health Week.  We hope that you were able to enjoy the ‘Once Piece At A Time’ Challenge, as it is so very important to connect with activities you enjoy, stay as active as possible, and have contact with people who are important to you within COVID restrictions.

It was great to hear how Year 5 participated in an online ‘Express Yourself’ dance session with Mrs Fox.  There were dancing unicorns, and dancing aliens and everyone had an amazing smile on their face!

    Keep safe and Well,

    Mrs Williams

  • Conquerors Class - Art Work

    Mon 01 Feb 2021

Children have had fun creating paper mache relief art in Year 4. The technique involved making home made glue from flour and water and getting really messy! Step one involved creating a paper mache base which showed parts of a pencil sketch that we did last week raised so that it looks 3D and like it is coming out of the picture. Once the paper mache base was dry, we then had to add colour, by painting, colouring or collaging the picture. Pupils have has fun with this project and have done a marvellous job. Here are some pics of children doing their art and some finished examples:
